In Living Color Potential

I just got off the phone with my agent about 45mins about. Here it is raw and uncut. I was told they received over 4,000 submissions and I've apparently made it to the next phase. That decision was made by the first casting director who's name is Emily. She thought I wasn't that funny but I had potential. Which is why she advanced me to the next casting director, Julie.

Emily said they are really looking for edgy, over the top and really funny people. My agent suggested I work on a few more characters. Immediately, when I got off the phone I started to change the channels of my brain. When I created the first character reel, I wasn't thinking edgy at all. Now I am more defined in my mind. So I'm in the process of working on a few more characters and if time permits we'll send them for Julie to also check out.

There is a possibility that Julie could request to see me in person. We'll see what happens. All I know is that it will be a while before Keenen Ivory Wayans gets involved. As for now, let the brain storming continue.

Final Thoughts

If there is a smile on my face its because I'm still apart of the conversation. Its always great to be apart of the conversation. I recall Kobe Bryant saying the same thing when they talked about him as one of the greats.

My agent initially sent out 6 of her talents and I was the only one they really showed interested in.
Now I've trickled down from 4,000 submissions. My agent and I can only assume I'm probably in a pile of 100 people or so right now. Once again. I'm just glad to be apart of the conversation.
