It Was Time For a Change...So I Cut It All Off

Yup, I cut it. I cut it all off. I cut off all my facial hair last Sunday to be exact. I was in Hollywood watching the All-Star game at this restaurant type place called Capital City Hollywood and I made a split decision. I was looking in the mirror and I didn't like what I saw. So I cut my goatee off.

I also wanted to test putting a razor on my face again. Since I arrived to LA in September I had some problems with ingrown hairs and razor bumps. Over time I discovered 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil and combined that with some other techniques to come up with my own regimen for my face. So far so good. I don't think razor bumps are going to be a problem for me anymore.

For the longest, I've hated my face without my goatee. As a matter of a fact the last time I cut off all my face was August of 2009 and I hated it. Below is a picture of me with at Wide aWoke Wednesday's Why Black Men Don't Go To Church Part 2. I cut off all my facial hair.

I think my eyes was looked too big with my goatee cut off. My high top wasn't at its prime either.

Anyway, let me know what you think of my new look. It might need new head shots but I could possibly get casted for younger roles... All know is for the first time in a while I'm liking the clean cut look.

Once again tell me what you think.

Thanks

As the quest continues...

  1. I believe a man's facial hair is like a Lion's mane...however I understand your logic. If you like it, I love it!

  2. Motown! I love the clean look! I love you with facial hair too! It is wonderful that you are willing to be versatile with your look. The wonderful thing about it is that you have options. It is true, you will be more appealing for younger roles without the facial hair, but you have so many photos and videos with facial hair that you can always present those with your casting calls and interviews to show what you look like with hair on your face. We know the hair will grow, so first impressions are everything! You look like you could be a model, a college student, a business executive with this clean shaved look, maybe even a High School Student, not to forget the most important role, "Late Night Talk Show Host"!! If a part requires a beard or facial hair, you can grow it or even add it! smile!! I must admit, when I read the title of this blog, I took a deep breath and said to myself, "No he did not cut his Fade!!" LOL Phew!!!
It looks like you, my friend, you are going to be very busy! With everything you have already done, everything you are doing and everything coming full circle with contacts from past and now, and the new look, there is no telling what is next!! Keep pushing forward! You are already a Super Star!
    Your Stalker Fan!
