The Mallory Show - Taboo Episode - Behind the Scenes

Post Represents: Wednesday, October 10, 2012

I met fellow Rattler KJ Smith on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at a Industry Minds event. When the event was over, we eventually introduced ourselves to each other and I immediately put my bid in to taste a plate of her home cooking she bragged so much about. We became Facebook friends and that's the last I heard of her until Monday, October 8, 2012. She sent me a Facebook message asking to be a part of her web series. The invitation took a small amount of thought considering I was planning my web series shoot for the following Friday and her shoot was in two days, the following Wednesday. Nonetheless, I figured why not. The best of the best work great under pressure.

Final Thoughts

There was multiple great moments throughout the shoot. My personal favorite was at the beginning when I began introducing myself to the cast. I said my name then KJ jumped right in and said, "He corrected me and said Motown Maurice is my name...." Right afterwards, she looked at me with a big smile and said, "That's good marketing."

KJ runs a first class web series production but of course I wouldn't expect anything less, she  graduated from Florida A&M University. It was truly an honor to be a part of her vision for the day and I'm confident this won't be the last time work together. Keep up the great work KJ. Success is all over you.
