What some people consider as luck is actually an illustration of when hard work and preparation meets opportunity.
After much success and disappointment from hosting live talk shows in his hometown Tampa, FL, this seeker relocated to Los Angeles, CA on September 19, 2010 to begin an epic journey that does not consist of a plan B. Good Morning! I agree with you. Hard work and preparation does bring opportunity, but the ability to perform is the blessing of the Lord. We can't do anything without him.
ReplyDeleteI think the word "Luck" is often associated with good things, like being "Lucky" in life. But remember there is also "Bad Luck". I believe the word means One's personal fate or lot in life, rather good or bad. I believe in Fate and I believe in the fact that everyone has a purpose. Like is Psalms 16 when it says, "LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance." So to answer your question do I believe in LUCK? My answer is YES I do. Will mine be good or bad? Well that depends on one's own perception. Let's say we see a man living in his RV. Some would say he has bad luck because he is homeless. Someone else could say he has good luck because he has no bills nor worries about the hustle and bustle of societies demands. Where luck is concerned, do my boundary lines fall in pleasant places? So When hard work and preparation meets opportunity this is Good Luck true enough. But if the opportunity leads to a destructive path and is not what you desire, Is it still Good luck? Luck is a condition of Life. When you work hard in a garden and grind as hard as you can and no fruit are produced, I do not think it means you are unlucky. As long as the seeds are planted, in time they will grow. Waiting for a rain or moist fertilized soil. The seed knows when to bud, even when we are not sure that they will grow. So it is not that Luck does not exist, it is when will Luck be favorable in your perception of it as it applies to your life and your journey.

Awww.... of course you know better than to believe in luck. There's only Divine Providence and the results of hard work. And of course, Divine Providence increases with hard work.
