The Snake is coming. I haven't blogged much about Snake Outta Compton but there's so much happening right now it's time. It's literally been a year in the making and finally the first trailer just came out on Monday night. I was playing tennis when I got the notice and the video/article blew me away. I was noticeable since multiple times I immediately had to share it with a tennis buddy. The response was great. As the week continued I started getting Facebook tags and phone texts. The trailer went viral. It's been getting made coverage. The Hollywood Reporter, Indiwire and beyond... Youtubers even started to do reaction videos to the trailer alone. That was nothing compared to a response I got on Saturday. At an audition on Tuesday, I reconnected with an acting comrade. His name is Albert Minero Jr.. Later that day he reached out about a "gig" and he ended up inviting to a party on Saturday. I've been in the spirit of going out so I went. We talked about Snake Outta Compton at the audition. He actually previously heard of it because he had a friend that worked as a line producer. By the time I got to the party, Albert told everyone we spoke to that I'm about to "blow up." Albert saw the trailer and loved it. At one point he couldn't stop talking about it. He was genuinely excited for my upcoming success. He endorsed me as a quiet guy in Hollywood that keeps his had down but puts in the work. He gave the film's trailer positive reviews predicts its going to be huge and I would get work from it. I recall him saying it's time for a new generation of Hollywood to actors to take over. He even compared me as the new Chris Tucker. I was truly humbled. Albert is good peoples and I'm truly glad we crossed paths and reconnected. A few years back he saw me walking down the street, he stopped and gave me a ride. Every interaction with him is filled with great energy. I'm glad we've reconnected and most likely we'll stay connected this time. He's the type of person you want to keep in your corner because you know he's got you in his. Check out a few Snake Outta Compton links:

Finally, my second highlight of week is with my belongings. Since early July the majority of my stuff has been in storage. As of Saturday, I have my stuff all in one place again. It's been a long time coming. The fact that this even happened is a miracle. With some unexpected advice from a random attorney my landlady overcame her fears (not without second guessing herself at least once on the day of) and we came to an agreement. She also gave me a two year extension to get famous. I think that's plenty of time to make it happen. Moreover, it's good to have all must stuff back. In the beginning I would go to my storage often to get things. Over time I learned to survive without all that stuff. I started hand washing my clothes and keeping things simple. Even thought I got my stuff back in one place I still plan to keep things simple. I still plan to hand wash my clothes and down size my belongings as time progresses. In conclusion, it's good to have my TV back.
