Weekly Written Review
Right before acting class on Wednesday, I started Facebook messaging a young man. It soon became a video messaging conversation. I assumed he was one of my 6 nephews. I've only met 2. He ended up not being either of the two but a nephew that I knew nothing about. I have a half brother in which I don't acknowledge simply because he's a lousy person. Considering all of his offspring I have no problem calling him a bum. One of his kids are in jail. Maybe two. Furthermore, we didn't get to talk much but we'll be talking again next week (375). Some facts he shared is that he knows nothing about his father or his heritage. He assumed we were Jamaican. It's truly sad. I'm going to do my best to do something, not run a like a coward. The worst part about is that my mom don't fully get it. I understand it's her son and some long term guilt may play a factor but how could she defend a man that doesn't support his children. I'll never understand that.

* Basketball...YMCA. Decided to sleep in a little extra so I got there later then usual. Played some good old fashion 2 on 2. My team won all of it's games. In the last game I went on a 3 point shooting spree. I shot a least 4 in one day. 3 in a row in the last.

Week 373: Saved by 20 G's
Weekly Written Review
It's Monday. I'm in my spot doing my thing on the computer. The TV is on. The news is playing. Familiarity strikes my brain and I turn towards the TV. Suddenly I'm in disbelief. The newscaster is talking about a man who was recently arrested because of killing spree threats. I'm shocked because I know the person. We lived in the same quarters for about 4 years. I immediately grabbed my phone and started recording it. Then almost instantly I bolted to my landlady and shared the story. As much as we couldn't believe it, it was also believable considering what we lived through. Specifically this year. Some specifically this past summer. We went through the Rumble in the Jungle and after seeing this story and the amount of guns the police seized we're happy to be alive. This story was all over the news this week. There's so much more to it but I rather not write about it. I'll leave it at this.
On a more positive note, I booked twice this week. Glad to be booking again.

Week 372: It's a Fight, Everyday I'm fighting
Weekly Written Review
I had two auditions for a co-starring role on two different cable shows this week. These auditions are generally in and out. Really quick. My Nickelodeon audition was one take and gone. One or two takes, by the time they generically say "thank you" I can sense I'm not what they wanted. It's a real spirit sucker. Post the audition, my head is lowered in disappointment on the way home. No room to complain. I'm getting in the door and for that reason I'm thankful. My new agent is putting in work. I had one truly low spirited day but the rest of the week was eventful. What can I say, it's a fight. I better not lower my head anymore, I could get knocked out. Everyday I got to fight for what's rightfully mine.

* Photo shoot for Marie at Kevin's. Had dinner before I left. Got home semi full and was able to save a can of soup because of that :-)

Week 371: Living the dream in the background
Weekly Written Review
This week began nice. I presented awards at a film festival and I got to throw in a few jokes. The feedback was inspiring. A few people said I was funny and at least one person said I that I livened up the program. I mostly enjoyed the people that approached me suggested that we should work together afterward. The rest of the week was a bunch of auditions that led to nothing and I topped off the week with background work on my 41st music video. Living the dream! :-/
