* Meeting with my new manager in Sherman Oaks. Before the pandemic hit they were my talent agency. They recently rose from the unknown and returned as a talent management. I'll take it. I enjoyed the meeting. Overall great. His optimism presents hope but we'll see what happens.

Week 680: First Audition in Over 3 Years

Weekly Written Review 

Not long after I got back, I got a notification for an audition becoming my first audition in over 3 years. Plus, it was for a lead role. I enjoyed the prep. The process was good. I had the best help. I'm glad I did it and I had a sense of hope after submitting but that didn't last long. Decisions for shows can take a while but I'm assuming they won't take long in most cases. I'll never know if they liked my character interpretation and it probably doesn't matter if I was great or not. I later learned that even though I'm on SAG hiatus, I'm most likely not eligible for a non-union project. I'll have to follow up on that research another day.

Week 679: Disappointing Launch

Weekly Written Review 

As soon as Audacity of Host went live last on Tubi on Friday, I started a soft launch, prepping for a blast on Tuesday. 3 weeks later, now writing this post, marketing has been disappointing. My delusional mind tricks me again. For months I've envisioned responses of excitement from people involved but that's not the case. I can acknowledge cool feedback from a couple people but not much from people I actually interviewed. Not one phone call. Oh well. I did put out a few paid ads and the results are much better from strangers.
