Week 654: No Longer Balling Boujee

Weekly Written Review 

Playing basketball this week broke my boujee attitude toward street basketball. I haven't played much since the pandemic, partly because indoor basketball at the YMCA spoiled me. Playing at the park on Sunday was rewarding and fun. I have a renewed mindset about playing outdoor basketball again and I look forward to doing more asap.

Week 651: Free Pressure

Weekly Written Review 

It's been around two years since I touched my screenplays. I gave up on contests and shifted focus toward self-producing, even if it takes a lifetime to get made. Thus, while waiting at my ultrasound appointment, a contest caught my eye. Most of my screenwriting emails go to my junk account now so by happenstance, I noticed it. I decided to submit, mainly because it was free.

Week 650: Unremarkable

Weekly Written Review

For the first time, I attended/scheduled a health care checkup on Tuesday. The only other times I've had a check-up were probably for sports in high school and a reality show consideration in 2011. The results were clean. Blood test, normal. I had one cholesterol point above the target, but not enough to recommend anything. I believe it's genetic. I remember a doctor telling my mom my cholesterol was high when I was a kid. Since then, I rarely ate fried foods. Out of caution, the doctor suggested an ultrasound to check something around my neck, and the results were unremarkable.
