Week 496: When you find out your normal lifestyle is called Quarantine

Weekly Written Review

As the Coronaviris worsens, I'm conducting business as usual. Midweek the governor of California announced the "Safer To Stay Home" order I immediately became concerned about my ability to pick up Animal Crossing New Horizons on Friday. Thankfully, Best Buy had curbside pick up. The only thing I wasn't able to do this week was play basketball at the YMCA. All gyms are close. All non-essentials are stores are closed. That sucks but there's nothing anybody can do about it.

I'm not as affected as most people because my lifestyle is a quarantine. I'm always at home working on something. There's no better time to write than now.

Week 495: Cancel 2020 - It's Getting Corona Real In These Streets

Weekly Written Review

The Coronavirus got real for me when the NBA suspended their season on Wednesday. I didn't see that coming. Then I went into Trader Joe's on Thursday I saw shelves without food. My goto cans of tuna and sardines were depleted. It's certainly concerning but I'm not overreacting. I'm taking it with stride. I'm looking toward the future. For the first time, every working in the entertainment business is on the same playing field. We're all not working. In my mind, that means someone out of the unexpected is going to raise up from this. That person should be me.

Stay safe everybody. Be calm. Don't let fear motivate you and my way for my come up.

In other news, I believe my sequence of low spirited days ended this week. I brained stormed some really good ideas for my TV pilot so I believe I'm out of that slump. Let's go!

* Basketball. After a few full-court games. I played a one on one with a guy named Nolan. He beat me last week. That shouldn't have happened. I was tired after playing a bunch of games. We played the best out of 3. I one the first. He led and I came back. He won the second. It looked like he was going to beat me in the third. I think he was leading 11 to 5. Game is 13. Somehow I came back and won. I surprised myself. At one point I couldn't miss anything from long range. Ended the game with a long-distance 2 pointer.

* Trader Joe's in Hollywood. A lot of shelves were empty. Lines were longer than usual.

* Helping out as an audition reader for Joston's project.

Week 494: Weekend Plans Canceled

Weekly Written Review

Welcome to my third back to back week of low spirits. I'm anticipating a fourth. Granted I finalized a screenplay this week, had a meeting and accomplished some other stuff, yet my spirit isn't satisfied.  The problem is I'm not being challenged. Perhaps I need to embrace a slower change of pace for a moment but I don't want it. It's not fun. In addition to that, my personal life has been adding drama. Apparently, I make someone else unhappy when my spirits are low and when I'm quiet. If I'm causing someone else unhappiness because I'm always thinking, I'm better off by myself.

Week 493:Low Low Low Spirits and Stocks

Weekly Written Review

As low as my spirits currently are, I'm thankful I'm still getting some work done. I'm just not working at the intense pace my mind/body yearns for. This low spirited period possibly represents needed rest for a change of pace coming soon. It could represent the worst is yet to come. Or maybe I've slowed down so the universe can expose me to something new like stocks. I had a conversation with someone about stocks on Thursday and it got me thinking. Maybe investing in stocks is how I'm going to raise money for my film. I don't have the answers but when my spirit isn't on the floor at least I'm thinking.

Week 492: Networking with my Essence

Weekly Written Review

This year still has no definition. I'm still rewriting scripts from 2019 and my spirit is constantly fluctuating. While I stay patient for route altering results, the Nintendo Switch gaming world and playing sports are helping me stay balanced. The one thing that I know for sure that brightened up this week was a phone call on Wednesday. After a series of questions, I was indirectly offered an opportunity to work on a film behind the camera. I'm not looking for off-camera work but if there's nothing else available I'll take it. This call was due to a brief impression I made at a Pajama party last week.  Apparently, my essence is the reason I got this call and it's why I'm a potential candidate for this project. Whether I hired for the opportunity or not, at least I know my essence is working for me.

* C&B Rewrite

Monday, February 17, 2020

* C&B rewrite intensive continues. Didn't meet today's deadline.

* Was supposed to meet with an entertainment attorney today. I showed up at his office, he didn't. I later realized his messages when into my spam folder for some reason. I acknowledged the error and spend the next two weeks trying to reschedule but that was a fail. He replied back the next day and then went ghost. It's disappointing but for whatever unknown reason it's probably for the best.
