Week 604: Kitchen Pimping

 Weekly Written Review

This week I arrived at a house in South Florida for the very first time to record several interviews. It's the home of a college friend. I'm grateful for the connection but I was not ready for what was on the inside. It's a nice home but it's not the most flattering environment for a documentary setup. There was a lot of clutter. My friend uses his home as more of a storage room and a place to sleep. After thorough evaluation, the kitchen was the best spot so I pimped it out. I interviewed 8 people using 8 different angles. I made it work.

Week 603: Almost Going Smoothly

Weekly Written Review

A production without a complication is way too good to be true. Perhaps things were going smoothly and a complication was due. After sending a friendly reminder to my South Florida participations, I was informed by one person that he has to take a business trip to Dubi. The second episode of my series is dependent upon this person. The good news is he feels bad we're going to reschedule.

Week 602: Historical Fight for Existence

Weekly Written Review

This weekend I returned to Tallahassee for the first time since 2006. Coincidentally, The Haitian Cultural Club had a few events going on and I was able to speak briefly at their banquet. Moments after, I had an epiphany. Without this documentary, my legacy does not exist. All they know is that HCC is 34 years old. This HCC generation will forever live on Instagram and Tik Tok. My generation didn't have that luxury. My administration was too great not to exist. This documentary is imperative for our historical survival. With each interview, I will fight for existence. HCC History Matters.
