Week 552: First Selection Listed

 Weekly Written Review 

After officially submitting my series in early February I wondered if it would ever get selected by a channel. Now I know the answer is yes. Blume TV was the first to select my series this week and more is on the way. Exciting times. 

There were a lot of highlights this week. From submitting my uncle's music for distribution, completing C&B's pitch deck and finding out C&B is being offered to Lifetime. Those are all cool but unfortunately, a person that has been helping with the development of C&B passed away on Friday. Rest In Love Tim Oman.

Week 551: New Title - Music Manager

Weekly Written Review 

It's crazy. I'm not really into music. For fun, I did produce an album after high school, one during college and post-college. All for fun. Nothing more. Absolutely no aspirations for that line of business. A week ago I recorded a few song snippets for C&B's pitch deck presentation. We ended up not using it but it was cool to revisit that form of creativity. It's been a very long time since I've done such a thing. 

Then there's my uncle, Gifted From Grenada. As long as I've known him he's been about his music and he's never given up. Recently, he's asked me to help him put his music on Youtube. That did not excite me but I agreed. I looked for his last CD couldn't find it and he priority mailed me another. Before the CD arrived he shared recent feedback about his music and told me that someone said he should put it on Itunes then asked if I could help. Now, that request sounded so much better than YouTube. Inspired by some of my research for C&B song snippets, by studying a particular artist, I was guided in the right direction to assist my uncle with his passionate music career. Just like that, kind of in the music business. Let's see where this goes.

Week 548: I Scored Twice!!! But How?

Weekly Written Review 

Last week I made my debut playing soccer and I returned this week to somehow score twice. I don't know how I did it but it really happened. The first one, me and an opponent kicked the ball at the same time near the goal and for some reason I had leverage and it rolled in. The second was a perfect kick that when over the head of a shorter goalie. It was shocking that I could produce such a goal. I lowered my head after the fact unable to explain what I just happened. I just went for it. By all means, this doesn't mean that I'm good. I still suck. Since I'm about four weeks behind on my blog, let me assure you, I haven't even been close to scoring since. I'm probably worse.
